Privacy Policy
Effective: May 5, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Third Place Pools Corp ("Meet Pete," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and discloses information when you use the Meet Pete platform, the meetpete.work website, and related services (collectively, the "Services"). Meet Pete provides AI-powered answering and field-service software to trade businesses, who in turn use the platform to interact with their own customers.
SMS data sharing — at a glance. Mobile information acquired as part of the SMS consent process will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All categories of SMS opt-in data are excluded from being sold, shared, rented, or transferred for any third-party marketing purpose. This applies whether the mobile number is provided directly to Meet Pete or to a trade business customer of Meet Pete.
Contents
1. Scope and roles
Meet Pete operates as a service provider to its business customers (the "Trade Businesses"). When a Trade Business uses Meet Pete to interact with its end customers, the Trade Business is the controller of that end-customer information and Meet Pete processes it on the Trade Business's behalf under a written agreement.
When you visit meetpete.work, request a demo, or sign up as a Trade Business, Meet Pete acts as the controller of your information.
2. Information we collect
From Trade Businesses
- Account information: business name, owner or representative name, email address, phone number, mailing address, trade type, and billing details.
- Service usage data: calls made through Pete, transcripts, message logs, configuration choices, integrations enabled, and CRM content the Trade Business creates.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, device identifiers, log data, and cookies as described below.
From end customers of Trade Businesses
- Contact information: name, mobile number, email address, service address.
- Service request information: the issue described, equipment involved, scheduling preferences, and any notes the customer provides.
- Consent records: the date, time, source, and method by which the customer opted in to SMS communications, including the disclosure language presented at the point of consent.
- Communication content: SMS messages, voicemail recordings, call transcripts, and call metadata.
From visitors to meetpete.work
- Form submissions: information you provide on demo, contact, or signup forms.
- Analytics: aggregated, anonymized data about how visitors navigate the site (page views, referrer, approximate location, device).
- Cookies: a minimal set of session and preference cookies. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
3. How we use information
We use information to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Services.
- Process, route, and deliver voice calls and SMS messages on behalf of Trade Businesses.
- Confirm appointments, send technician ETAs, and notify dispatchers of new or changed jobs.
- Authenticate users, prevent fraud, and secure the platform.
- Communicate with Trade Businesses about their account, billing, and service updates.
- Improve the platform, including training and tuning Meet Pete's voice and language models, only on data that has been de-identified or for which appropriate consent exists.
- Comply with legal obligations.
4. SMS information
Meet Pete and the Trade Businesses that use it send only transactional SMS messages — appointment confirmations, technician ETAs, job-status updates, and dispatcher alerts. We do not send marketing or promotional SMS through the Meet Pete platform.
Mobile information acquired as part of the SMS consent process — including phone numbers, opt-in records, and message content — will not be sold, rented, shared, or transferred to any third party or affiliate for marketing or promotional purposes. We do not use mobile information for cross-context behavioral advertising. This restriction applies to information collected directly by Meet Pete and to information collected by a Trade Business and processed through the Meet Pete platform.
We share mobile information only with the limited set of subprocessors necessary to deliver the message itself (telecommunications carriers, message-routing providers, and our SMS gateway), and only for the purpose of delivering the message you requested. These subprocessors are contractually prohibited from using the information for their own purposes.
Recipients can opt out of SMS at any time by replying STOP. To get help, reply HELP. See the SMS Terms for the complete disclosure.
5. When we share information
We share information only in the following circumstances:
- With the Trade Business whose end customer you are. If you contacted ABC Plumbing and a Meet Pete-powered interaction took place, ABC Plumbing receives the information you provided.
- With service providers and subprocessors who perform functions on our behalf — hosting, telephony, SMS routing, analytics, payment processing — under contracts that restrict their use of the information.
- For legal reasons when we are required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Meet Pete, our customers, or the public.
- In a business transfer such as a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, subject to the terms of this Privacy Policy.
We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. As stated above, mobile opt-in information is never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing.
6. Data retention
We retain Trade Business account information for as long as the account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal, tax, and audit obligations. Service usage data, call logs, and message logs are retained for the period configured by the Trade Business or as required by law. End-customer information is retained on behalf of the Trade Business and deleted on the Trade Business's instruction or when no longer needed for the purpose collected.
7. Security
We use industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information, including TLS in transit, encryption at rest for sensitive fields, role-based access controls, and audit logging. No system is perfectly secure; we encourage you to use strong passwords and to notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, or to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@meetpete.work. If you are an end customer of a Trade Business, please contact that business directly; we will assist them in responding to your request.
California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act ("CCPA") as amended, including the right to know, the right to delete, the right to correct, and the right to opt out of sale or sharing. Meet Pete does not sell personal information and does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
9. Children
The Services are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information through the Services, please contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Effective" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated to Trade Business customers via the contact email on file at least 30 days before they take effect.
